Mackie DL16S 16-Channel Wireless Digital Mixer with Built-In Wi-Fi

The Mackie DL16S is a 16-channel live sound mixer that operates wirelessly and has built-in Wi-Fi, making it suitable for use by musicians, engineers, clubs, bars, coffee shops, and more. It has 16 recallable preamps, with 8 available on XLR inputs and 8 on combo XLR-1/4″ inputs. It also features 8 fully-assignable outputs on XLR connectors and a dedicated 1/4″ headphone output. The DL16S offers advanced signal processing capabilities, including a 4-band PEQ, HPF, gate, compression, and an RTA/spectrograph for each of the 16 input channels.

Each of the 13 output busses provides a 4-band PEQ, HPF/LPF, a 31-band GEQ, compressor/limiter, alignment delay, and RTA/spectrograph. Additionally, it has six VCAs, six mute groups, and four stereo FX processors with professional-grade reverb, delay, chorus, flange, and more. This mixer is made with a durable steel construction and large rubber corners to withstand the challenges of on-the-road use. It has an integrated handle for easy portability and a built-in Wi-Fi antenna for seamless wireless control through the DL16S’s network. For extended range, it can be connected directly to a wireless router or network switch using the Ethernet connector.

The Mackie DL16S is compatible with the Master Fader control app, which works on iOS and Android devices, as well as Mac and Windows computers (with the upcoming release of Master Fader 5.1). The app allows for quick navigation with overview and view groups, easy channel setup with factory and user presets, and the ability to recall Onyx+ mic preamp settings. Up to 20 devices can be connected, enabling musicians to create their own headphone mix, while the Access Limiting setting prevents unwanted adjustments by the FOH engineer. With its integrated 16×16 USB 2.0 audio interface, the DL16S allows for recording the show for later mixdowns and virtual sound checks. It also enables direct playback of intermission music, backing tracks, and more through a dedicated stereo return channel.
